Hyper Island: Digital Business Programme

I had the opportunity to attend the creative business school Hyper Island (usually referred to as “the digital harvard”), also listed by CNN as one of the most interesting schools around the world, for a 1.5 year programme called Digital Business.

The Digital Business program is about exploring and evolving the way business is done online. During 1,5 years we work on designing and creating solutions and services for a digital landscape, where business is global and behaviours are changing.

The program prepared us to lead change and shape experiences that transform the way we do business online through research, creativity and insight driven business development. The goal is for graduates to go on to work within business, service- and product development, project management, technology, web startups and creative agencies. All the courses includes lectures from industry leaders and active professionals, projects and briefs from a company or organisation and final deliveries.

The courses we had was:
Digital Business 101
User Experience,
Branding, Marketing and communications
Digital Commerce
Driven by Data
Leading Projects and People
Culture Creation and Change Management

During my year I had the opportunity to work in projects with: Volvo, UNICEF, transdev, Kessel Solar, Granit, Peppy Pals, Lifesum, Hyper Island, SEK, ClimateWell, Dentsu Aegis.

Some projects we did:

Mobile Application for GRANIT

We did a UX project with GRANIT, one of Swedens largest decoration and interior design company, where the wanted to become more digital. We did lots of user research that resulted in our creation and design of a mobile application. They later build and successfully launched our app idea in App Store.
